The DHT conversion pack. Packing Vinnie's usual heat on shiprotection—boxes inside boxes, bubble wrap and sundry damage contraceptives—the perfect sum of it all spilled onto our kitchen counter. ... we see our personal Lio fridge stocked up with Mosfet amp, i/o modules, the pre-tube Slagleformers, the double-decker DAC and the headphone amp. In this instance, the first order of business was removing the green autoformer module...


... followed by removal of the headphone amp to clear the stage for the wider DHT board.


In that went next.



Time to reinstall the headphone module, this time atop the central DHT board.


Next came removal of the original 6.3mm jack with what now was too short an umbilical since the board had moved sideways.


Insertion of the replacement jack was the obvious next thing, then plugging its end into the proper header on the amp board, paying attention to orientation (red cable at R=right end).


Time to change sides and ...
